By Larry and Deb Walkemeyer

FMX is a relational network of Free Methodist leaders and networks who are activists collaborating for the multiplication of disciples, leaders and churches.

This Free Methodist Multiplication Network seeks to ignite a Spirit-fueled movement that catalyzes the multiplication of leaders and churches.

FMX is centered around Jesus as Lord and The Free Methodist Way — advocating for life-giving holiness, love-driven justice, Christ-compelled multiplication, cross-cultural collaboration, and God-given revelation.

Purpose

FMX is a network for the purpose of:

  1. creating empowering relationships.
  2. uniting in movemental prayer.
  3. learning collaboratively.
  4. distributing supportive resources.
  5. optimizing polity toward multiplication.
  6. connecting leaders to ministry opportunities and supportive networks/organizations.
  7. convening FM leaders for inspiration, equipping and movement.

Beliefs

FMX believes:

  1. God desires to create a multiplying movement among FMCUSA churches.
  2. Healthy disciples, leaders and churches grow, reproduce and multiply.
  3. Churches can reproduce and multiply using a variety of models.
  4. The Spirit blesses unity with synergy, that together we can do more than alone.
  5. Ordinary believers can be used to do extraordinary kingdom work.
  6. Dependency upon the Holy Spirit, manifest through extraordinary prayer and courageous obedience, is essential for movement.
  7. Multiethnic churches reflect God’s Revelation 7 design for our churches.
  8. Multiplying among all people groups — but especially marginalized and under-resourced people groups — is essential.

A Servant Network

FMX is a servant network to serve the work of the bishops, superintendents, conference church planter/multiplication directors, and FM-based networks such as Church Development Network and Mission Igniter and others.
